Submit a Proposal
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the LOEX 2024 Conference.
Grow your information literacy pedagogy at LOEX 2024 in Naperville, Illinois. Located outside of Chicago, Naperville is home to a vast system of forest preserves—the perfect place to celebrate our unique but interconnected information literacy knowledge and practices. We want to hear how you’re planting the seeds of information literacy and empowering your students to thrive. Showcase how your instructional practices are flourishing and where you've seen new growth or are branching out.
LOEX is committed to raising the voices of those who are underrepresented in our profession and to creating the most inclusive community that we possibly can. LOEX seeks participants and presenters from all types of institutions, positions, backgrounds, and experiences.
Traditional-length (50 minutes) presentations and interactive workshops by one to three presenters. As in previous years, these sessions will make up the large majority of the conference program (an estimated 50-65 sessions). Breakout Session proposals are due November 27, 2023. [deadline has passed]
Short (seven minutes maximum) presentations given during a single session by different presenters. There will only be a handful (maximum of five) of these presentations as they are intended to be an energizing, but small, part of the conference. Lightning Talk proposals due date is Monday, January 22, 2024. [deadline has passed]
Students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident, intern, or fellowship programs are invited to propose poster sessions. Poster Session proposals due date is in Monday, January 29, 2024. [deadline has passed]
